I'm a truck driver and I really want to get Starlink, but I'm not sure how to mount the dish on my semi. Sometimes I park in sketchy areas, like truck stops, and I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it outside. Have you heard of anyone using it inside their dash window in a semi? Is that feasible, or would it be a big problem? My main concern is finding the correct bracket for mounting it outside the semi and pointing it towards the sky. I'm confident I can figure something out, which is why I'm watching your videos. I do gaming, so I'm quite particular about unlimited Wi-Fi. If you have any recommendations for other companies or solutions, I'd appreciate it! also I don't need in motion just unlimited data while I'm parked looking into plug and play type of setup

They don't need a gps chip to track the device on there networks. Its extremely easy to the to track the location of the devices, since day one.

That is a breach of contract that AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon are doing and they would violate that contract that was binding on their part! Sounds like someone could sue them if they went about it the right way like if they had the rep on video saying to you that Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T would never change the pricing and ya had proof!

I have had the T-Mobile Home Internet for several years. It works quite well at the house, which IS in an approved area. I also bring it with me while I travel in the RV. It has worked almost everywhere we have been but usually at lower speed. If T-Mobile notifies me that I can no longer do this I plan to cancel my service and switch to Starlink. T-Mobile has reneged on a number of promises and raised rates when my plan was supposedly rate locked so I am not feeling good about them right now.

I play a lot of online games using a mobile mifi, one from Verizon and one from T-Mobile. The main thing I struggle with is ping. Any advantage to using a router and hooking my mifi to it via Ethernet? And what router would help with the ping? Love your vids.

Remember that customer service will probably be a joke and often times, devices and plans are interconnected, and the fine print allows the carrier to do whatever it wants. What you signed up for can change at their whim, and often does.

The carriers, including Google with Android will have an incentive to push asts plans on their devices because its a 50/50 split. They will all share in the profits with ASTS. Thats the idea behind the profit split model to create an incentive foe carriers to advertise and push the service.

No problem just use a phone which is better and mobile hot spots. My experiment will be to tap into my phones antenna and run a short lead to an antenna. I'm using visible in a weak service area in the mountains. 73

What a great video! I LOVE both Mobile Must Have and MIRC. I purchased my hardware from MMH and been a member to MIRC for years. Both have been instrumental in getting my 1963 Silver Streak restored travel trailer road ready (I work online) with cellular and Starlink access. Now both are helping me set up a home system so I can cut the cable. Many thanks to both!

The pricing disparity is why I will hold out spending more on Starlink. Another 6 months - 12 months, Fiber optic will show up at my house. Starlink going to lose customers here. They need to do better on pricing.

I think it was on "Adam Ruins Everything" that I heard that internet in other countries is faster and cheaper. So simply, competition? The only reason I am interested in Starlink is because I can only get slow, unreliable, overpriced service where I live in Maine.

Mobile cell and data service is usually 1/10th the price of US and Canada in 3rd world countries. So, Starlink is much more fair.

IMO, It's a wasted opportunity that Starlink Mini is primarily envisioned to be AC powered. If Mini is intended to be used by people Backpacking, Hiking, maybe Off-Roading or otherwise going off-gird with limited access to AC Power, it would have been better to be directly USB-C powered rather then requiring a special adapter cable for a DC Barrel. Also, why does it need a 100W (20V5A) USB-PD supply if the Dish only consumes under 30W? Possibly it's to allow to the potential usage of the snow melting heater. but if that feature can be disable, could a user get away with using lower wattage USB-PD such as 60W (20V3A)?

My phones plan includes hotspot, it always worked until 5 months ago and now it has not worked since. I've spent hours and hours on the phone to fix the issue and they have not be able to fix the issue and have up. So I bought a hotspot from them th Moxie 5G, I bought the $50 plan and it's the same as my phone nothing ever connects my friends phone and tablet and mine and nothing is able to connect. I've spent over 2 hours on the phone and same as my phone they say "Were unable to fix the issue we see happening and cannot help you." USELESS COMPANY, USELESS PRODUCTS AND USELESS TECH SUPPORT.
